Membership Terms and Conditions.

General

All customers are required to swipe their card through the gate when entering Leisure World

Till receipts must be collected from Reception for pre-booked activities and handed to the instructor where appropriate

Lifestyles Cards must be kept with you during every visit to the Centre. You may be asked to produce your card at any time

Leisure World Colchester reserves the right to refuse entry to membership to customers who do not present their cards and receipts on every visit

Members must comply with all the Centre conditions of use, and full terms and conditions of Lifestyles. Failure to comply may result in forfeiting all membership rights

A fee of £3.50 will be charged for the replacement of lost cards

Lifestyles Cards are not refundable or transferable and if it is found that a third party is using your card, membership will be suspended immediately

Members must have their cards swiped at reception on each visit to obtain a ticket, even if pre-booked. Failure to do so may result in your space being re-sold

Membership may be subject to an annual price increase for which you will receive written notice

Membership applications are subject to approval. We reserve the right to refuse an application for a Lifestyles membership

Minimum age for membership is 16. Junior membership will be suspended from the 16th birthday

Refunds are not available on the Lifestyles Scheme

All sessions covered by your membership are subject to availability and queuing systems may operate at peak times

Facility usage may be restricted during sessions for ladies only, people with disabilities and for 50+

The Centre Management reserves the right to change or cancel the programme sessions/facilities without prior notice where necessary. Discounts cannot be given on membership usage on such occasions

Car parking cannot be guaranteed at peak times

Car parking is free to all members whilst they are using the Centre

Promotions will not be pre-advertised and refunds or credits cannot be given retrospectively on existing memberships

Booking

Lifestyles membership can only be used for booking facilities within a membership scheme. Cash payment must be made for activities not included prior to play

Bookings for sessions can be made up to seven days in advance from 8.30am on the first day of booking

48 hour cancellation notice must be given for all booking sessions. Cancellations with less notice will incur the full charge of the session if it is not resold

Non-attendance for booked courts or sessions will result in the full charge for the session being made and payable before any further bookings made or session attended

Pools/Spa

Session times must be observed during peak periods for all memberships, which includes the Leisure Pool. You must return to Reception in order to wait for entry to further sessions

Access from Pools to Aqua Springs is not permitted through the link corridor whilst in wet swim wear

Use of the Fitness Pool is only permitted during public swim sessions

Sport

A maximum of 2 racket courts may be used per day where applicable. Terms and Conditions apply. Racket hire is available for a charge

Activa

It is compulsory for all Activa users to have been through a full induction prior to using the gym. This payment is not included in your membership

Cancelling or Freezing Membership

To cancel your membership you may do so at any time by contacting your bank and cancelling your direct debit. It is your responsibility to do this

You are required to contact us in writing 30 days in advance to let us know you have cancelled your direct debit

Memberships can be frozen for periods of one month up to six months at no charge. Please ensure you complete and sign a freeze form, available at reception, giving 14 days notice

Leisure World cannot be held responsible for correspondence not received

Members failing to pay membership fees via Direct Debit will be charged a £20 admin fee to reinstate their membership

If we are informed by your bank that the Direct Debit arrangement has been cancelled or if the Direct Debit has failed, your membership will be suspended and cannot be used until alternative payment is made. Restarting your membership will also be subject to a £20 admin charge

Leisure World reserves the right to pursue any outstanding monies owing if a membership is cancelled before the direct debit is due
