What are Lifestyles?
Lifestyles are a range of Colchester Leisure World Passports that give you use of your chosen facilities within the Centre for a fixed monthly or annual cost. So, if you regularly use any of the many Leisure World facilities you can save ££££'s.
What can Lifestyles be used for?
There are 4 passports on offer to suit your way of life and leisure preferences.

OPTION 4 - Saver Lifestyle
Valid for use of listed facilities between the hours of 9am and 4pm Monday to Friday. Additionally Activa only may be used at weekends between 3pm-7pm.

Getting Started
Every customer wishing to use Activa gym facilities must undertake the Kickstart Induction - see a member of staff for details and price.
To take out Lifestyles membership simply pick up an Application Form and Direct Debit mandate and take them to the Customer Services desk or main reception along with your first months' payment and £20 administration charge (if paying by DD).
Your card will normally be processed while you wait and is valid immediately.
How is payment made?
Your first months payment can be paid at main reception or customer services by cash/cheque/credit/debit card.
For direct debit memberships you will need to pay the first month in advance, plus a £20 administration fee.
Direct Debit
Direct debit payments will be taken directly from the bank on or around 28th of each month following the month you join. You will receive a letter from us before any money is taken from your account.
Annual
Annual memberships do not incur an administration charge, but payment must be made in full at time of joining.
Annual memberships are priced at 11 months but are valid for 12.
How do I cancel?
To cancel your membership you may do so at any time by contacting your bank and cancelling your direct debit. It is your responsibility to do this.
We also ask, as a courtesy, that you contact us in writing 30 days in advance to let us know that you have cancelled your direct debit.
Alternatively, you may freeze your membership for periods of illness or holiday for one month blocks up to six months by signing a freeze form. 14 days notice must be given.
Quick and easy bookings
You can book into sessions covered by your Lifestyle card up to 7 days in advance.
You can book over the telephone or in person at main reception quoting your card number.
Please note: A strict 48 hour cancellation policy operates and failure to notify non-attendance to a booked session will result in a cash penalty payable before you use any further facilities.
Terms & Conditions of use
General
Till receipts must be collected from Reception for pre booked activities and handed to the instructor where appropriate.
Lifestyles Passports must be kept with you during every visit to the Centre, you may be asked to produce your card at any time.
Colchester Leisure World reserves the right to refuse entry to membership customers who do not present their cards and receipts on every visit.
Members must comply with all the Centre conditions of use, and full terms and conditions of Lifestyles. Failure to comply may result in forfeiting all membership rights.
A fee of £3.50 will be charged for the replacement of lost cards.
Lifestyles Passports are not refundable or transferable and if it is found that a third party is using your card, membership will be suspended immediately.
Members must have their cards swiped at reception on each visit, even if pre-booked. Failure to do so may result in your space being re-sold.
Membership may be subject to an annual price increase every year for which you will receive two months written notice.
Membership applications are subject to approval. We reserve the right to refuse an application for a Lifestyle passport.
Minimum age for membership is 16. Junior membership will be suspended from the 16th birthday.
Refunds are not available on the Lifestyles Scheme.
All sessions covered by your passport are subject to availability and queuing systems may operate at peak times.
Facility usage may be restricted during sessions for ladies only, people with disabilities and for 50+.
The Centre Management reserves the right to change or cancel the programme sessions/facilities without prior notice where necessary. Discounts cannot be given on passport usage on such occasions.
Car parking cannot be guaranteed at peak times.
Promotions will not be pre advertised and refunds or credits cannot be given retrospectively on existing passes.
Booking
Lifestyles Passports can only be used for booking facilities within any passport category. Cash payment must be made for activities not included prior to play.
Bookings for sessions can be made up to seven days in advance from 8.30am on the first day of booking.
48 hour cancellation notice must be given for all booking sessions. Cancellations with less notice will incur the full charge of the session if it is not resold.
Non-attendance for booked courts or sessions will result in the full charge for the session being made and payable before any further bookings made or session attended.
Pools/Spa
Session times must be observed during peak periods for all passports, which include the Leisure Pool. You must return to Reception in order to wait for entry to further sessions.
Use of the link stairs between the Fitness Pool and Leisure Pool is not allowed due to safety reasons. Customers wishing to swim in both pools consecutively must do so by transferring via the normal corridors and entrances.
Access from Pools to Aqua Springs is not permitted through the link corridor whilst in wet swimwear.
Sport
A maximum of 2 racket courts may be used per day where applicable. Terms and Conditions apply. Racket hire is available for
a charge.
Activa
It is compulsory for all Activa users to have been through a full induction prior to using the gym. This payment is not included in your membership.
Cancelling or Freezing Membership
To cancel your membership you may do so at any time by contacting your bank and cancelling your direct debit. It is your responsibility to do this.
We also ask, as a courtesy, that you contact us in writing 30 days in advance to let us know you have cancelled your direct debit.
Memberships can be frozen for periods of one month up to six months at no charge. Please ensure you complete and sign a freeze form, available at reception and give 14 days notice.
Leisure World cannot be held responsible for correspondence not received.
Members failing to pay membership fees via direct debit will be charged a £20 admin fee to re-instate their membership.
If we are informed by your bank that the Direct Debit arrangement has been cancelled or the Direct Debit has failed, your membership will be suspended and cannot be used until alternative payment is made. Restarting your membership will also be subject to a £20 admin charge.
Leisure World reserves the right to pursue any outstanding monies owing if a membership is cancelled before the direct debit is due.
